The dance tune was translated to dub and in the end, interpreted in ska. The title is a pun, which is meaningful in English too: WesTindies refers to the original folk dance called “tindia” and the birthplace of dub and ska.

Fakutya Budapest, Hungary

The band is chased by the “Folkpolice” for its untraditional behaviour since 2000.
Concerts and dance house occasions evolved the Fakutya sound: a firm base of traditional folk music roots spiced up with unorthodox instrumentations, surprising hints of rock-pop classics and a general positive approach.
Literally "fakutya" = wooden dog. If one laughs like a "fakutya" it means one laughs heartily.
